SciFi and Fantasy Art My Little Hippogriff, Scythia (2004) by Maya R. Hirschman

I was suddenly possessed of a need to draw My Little Pony and after ignoring the urge for a few days, I gave in and here is the result. Be aware that I have NEVER drawn a MLP before in my life. Scythia (named for the Scythians who shared Hippogriff mythology with the Greeks) would be gold tones if she were coloured (for Scythian gold) and the symbol on her rump (also Scythian, I believe) would probably be a rose colour as would her mane and tail. As it is, I obviously chose not to colour her, instead, shading her with my Prismacolor greyscale markers. I inked her with Copic drawing pens, if you care.

But put that hole picture together and it looks amazing! Do you think you could give me tips on how to draw better all I can do is copy the already drawn drawing?
